Calendar Sep 7, 2024 at 9:30 am, runs for 15 weeks

Offered at our Santa Rosa campus, this class is tailored toward more advanced adult learners who have completed “Adult Intermediate II” or have equivalent language skills. Students will be able to understand German in everyday contexts such as family, work, leisure and move towards more abstract contexts (e.g. politics, history), deal with most situations they may encounter when traveling in a German-speaking country, produce coherent texts on topics of personal interest, describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and give brief reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

By the end of the course, students will have reached language skill level B1, and should be able to move up to the next course level.

Learning materials for this class include a textbook and supplemental material and media. To further learning throughout the week, recommended homework can include listening or reading assignments from the textbook, or sources such as newspaper articles, modified or original fiction, and language learning websites, as well as vocabulary and grammar exercises.
